Lily

Once upon a time, in a land far away,

Lived a girl named Lily, who was just one day

Away from turning 18 and finally free,

To live her life how she wanted to be.

She was excited for the day to arrive,

But little did she know, she would not thrive.

For on that fateful day, a group of men,

Took her by surprise, and locked her in a den.

They surrounded her, and began to touch,

Her body and mind, they did encroach.

She fought and she screamed, but it was no use,

They overpowered her, and began to abuse.

As they took turns, she felt such shame,

But in her heart, she knew she was to blame.

For she had made a mistake, and trusted the wrong,

Now she was paying the price, with her body and her song.

But even in the darkness, she held on to hope,

That one day she would be able to cope,

With the pain and the trauma, and find a way,

To heal and move on, and live another day.

For she was a survivor, and she would not break,

She would rise above it, for her own sake,

And though the memory may never fade,

She would learn to live with it, and find a way.

To forgive herself, and let go of the past,

And find the strength to make it last,

Through all the hardships and the tears,

She would find a way to overcome her fears.

For she was a fighter, and she would not give in,

She would rise above it, and start anew again.

With a newfound strength and a fierce determination,

She would take control of her life, and find salvation.
